Special interests: As a Core Gynaecological Histopathologist and key member of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), I am deeply committed to driving quality, precision, and innovation in women’s healthcare.
When a surgeon removes a tumour or performs a biopsy, that tissue is sent directly to our pathology laboratory. My role is to meticulously analyse these specimens to provide the critical answers that guide a patient’s entire treatment journey, including: Determining whether a sample is benign, pre-cancerous, or malignant. Confirming the exact type, grade, and precise stage of cancer. Verifying whether the tumour has been completely removed during surgery. Evaluating how far the tumour has extended into surrounding tissues or lymph nodes.
In addition to traditional diagnostics, I specialise in unlocking the genetic and molecular profiles of tumours. By analysing advanced biomarkers – such as MMR and POLE status in endometrial cancers or HRD testing in ovarian cancers – I provide the oncology and medical teams with the vital data needed to determine which targeted therapies or immunotherapies will work best for each individual patient.
