Breathing in cigarette smoke is dangerous – which means there is NO safe level of exposure to cigarette smoke.
Globally 600,000 non-smokers die each year from second-hand smoke, and 200,000 of those are children.
All hospitals have a responsibility to protect all patients, visitors and staff from danger and the health risks of cigarette smoke.
